Poet, novelist, playwright, born 1981 in Reykjavík. She studied philosophy, creative writing and editorial work at the University of Iceland and at universities in New Jersey and Bologna. Together with a female poetry group Svikaskáld / Impostor Poets, she has published three collections of poetry (2017, 2018 and 2019). Her first solo book was the Keisaramörgæsir (2018, Imperial Penguins) short story collection, prized for her extraordinarily playful imagination. Her own children and their growing up are a great inspiration for her, in her poetry book Tanntaka (2021, Pruning Teeth) she discusses the spiritual and mental maturation of human beings.
